PortBlue Club Pollentia: A Luxurious Mallorca Retreat Review

I had the pleasure of being invited to stay at PortBlue Club Pollentia Resort and Spa in Mallorca. Having previously worked in the North of the Island in Alcudia and C’an Picafort, I would often venture past PortBlue Club Pollentia on my day off during one of my many Sunday cycling adventures. So, it was a nice change to enter the hotel as a guest rather than just passing by.

Disclaimer: In the interest of clarity I was invited to Alcudia as part of a Press Trip, part of this trip meant that I stayed at the PortBlue Club Pollentia as part of my itinerary. However, this review is based on my own unbiased opinion. Accommodation at the PortBlue Club Pollentia

The PortBlue Club Pollentia Resort and Spa takes pride in offering a variety of accommodations to suit every guest’s needs. During my stay, I had the opportunity to stay in one of their Village apartments, and it was nothing short of comfort.

The Village apartment was spacious and comfortable. It featured two queen-sized beds, perfect for a good night’s sleep after a day of taking part in various activities or exploring. In addition to the beds, the apartment had a single-seat sofa and a two-seat sofa bed, a coffee table, a convenient desk, a mounted TV with a whole host of channels to tune into, a fridge to store refreshments, a kettle and an assortment of teas and coffees to choose from. The apartment also came equipped with a built-in wardrobe, ensuring ample space to organise my clothes and store my suitcase during my stay. The bathroom was equally impressive, with a spacious walk-in shower and an abundance of soft towels, adding a touch of luxury to my daily routine with toiletries to last throughout my whole stay.

One of the best features of the Village apartment I stayed in, was the private balcony, available for those like myself on the first floor. The balcony offered plenty of seating for relaxation, a convenient wet clothes rack, and, of course, that beautiful view of the bay.

What truly sets the apartment apart is the emphasis on space and comfort. It’s clear that the layout has been carefully planned to provide guests with a sense of relaxation and freedom during their stay. Whether you’re travelling with family, friends or solo you won’t have to worry about crowding in these apartments.

Quick Tip: The plug socket in the Apartments uses a Type C European Plug, I would recommend getting a UK-to-European plug adapter and bringing a UK extension lead to plug all your gadgets in.

Rejuvenation and Relaxation

A highlight of my stay at PortBlue Club Pollentia was the Ocean spa and wellness area which is an adult-only section of the hotel. I fully immersed myself in the range of rejuvenating experiences it had to offer, from indulging in the steam rooms to embracing the invigorating thrill of an ice-cold water plunge. The Jacuzzi was pure bliss, adding an extra layer of relaxation was the panoramic windows that provided an unobstructed view of the picturesque surroundings, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the beauty outside.

The spa treatments, including facials and massages, were just what I needed, perfectly complementing the already unparalleled rejuvenation provided by the resort’s spa and elevating relaxation to a whole new level.

While I made the most of the spa, unfortunately, time didn’t permit me to explore the fully equipped gym. It’s a fitness enthusiast’s dream, complete with the latest equipment and weights, ready to cater to all your exercise needs.

Swimming Pools

When it comes to pools, PortBlue Club Pollentia knows how to make a big splash! With a range of options tailored to suit every preference, we were truly spoilt for choice. The main pool, which is a spacious oasis, caters to both adults and children, providing ample room for everyone to enjoy a refreshing dip and have a fun splash around. For those seeking a more active swim, the semi-olympic sized swimming pool beckons, perfect for an invigorating morning or post-lunch swim.

If relaxation is just what the doctor ordered, the sensations pool is an oasis for adults over 16, allowing guest to unwind and rejuvenate. Picturesque moments find their home at the infinity pool—because let’s face it, no Instagram worthy picture perfect paradise holiday is complete without one. For those seeking a serene retreat away from the excitement of the main pool’s big splashes, the adults-only pool offers a peaceful escape.

And for the ultimate relaxation experience for parents and children alike, step into the spa pool—a haven for the entire family to unwind and relax after a long day. PortBlue Club Pollentia ensures you have the perfect aquatic setting for every mood and desire during your holiday.

PortBlue Club Pollentia Resort & Spa certainly knows how to craft memorable moments for it’s guest. There’s a plethora of activities, tailor-made to cater to all ages and interests. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie seeking water sports thrills, a sports enthusiast ready for action, or someone just craving a lazy day by the pool among the resort’s seven swimming pools, boredom is simply not on the agenda.

Families and little ones are treated to an array of kid-friendly activities during the day and fun filled mini-discos that light up the nights with a party dance or two. The resident entertainments team and visiting performers ensure evenings are filled with laughter and entertainment, ensuring everyone has a memorable stay. (Whilst I didn’t take part in the day time entertainment, I did watch the Supremes Tribute visiting act during one of the nights at the hotel and they fantastic).

The restaurants to choose from include The Denario restaurant, which provides an outdoor buffet dining experience offering local dishes as well as international. And how can we forget Áncora restaurant, which offers breakfast and dinner buffets with a huge array of food to choose from, ensuring you won’t go hungry. The Ancora Restaurant is where I had my breakfast as we were out experiencing various dinning experiences in Alcudia (you can see where I dined in Alcudia by clicking here) .

Oh, and let’s not forget the bars—there are three to choose from! Aquaris Bar, open from 11 am to 5:30 pm, ensures that your day by the pool is flowing with drinks and snacks.
